Geocache Description:

The cache is in a rock outcropping that overlooks the intersection of Gold Camp and Old Stage Roads.



Park near but not blocking the gate at the top of the closed section of Gold Camp Road. You will be 550 feet from the cache but it is over 100 feet in altitude above you. It will take some work to get there but there is not a lot of brush to get through. Aim for a small saddle slightly NE of the cache and then go up the ridge to the overlook.

THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT: On the way down don't go too far to the right. There is a cliff over an old tunnel with no fence or railing to mark it. Both times I have been up there I noticed that the terrain tends to lead you that way when descending. DO NOT DO THIS CACHE IN THE DARK.
