Fridge Magnets
I had the idea to make this cache last summer when I drove to
Washington DC. I grabbed many caches along the way and many states.
I also sent home some souveniers in care packages. One of my
favorite ones were fridge magnets from all the states I drove
through. We have them in our fridge now.
Trading Post Cache
So my idea was to combine both a quick stop for interstate
travelers going either way on I-70 and also start a collection of
fridge magnets. The cache is an army medic kit steel box. Perfect
to hold magnets on all its interior walls. We provided some swag if
you just wanna trade items. However we love to have magnets from
your home state or from any state you drove through.
Trade
The exchange rules for this cache are simple. If you want a
magnet you have to leave a magnet. Please do not trade swag for
magnets since we want the cache to be a collection of magnets that
any geocacher can appreciate when visiting. You are more than
welcome to just leave a magnet or trade it for swag. A magnet
leaves the cache only in exchange of another magnet.
On to the cache
The cache is a big one so TBs will have more room than enough.
Yes! You can take a TB and leave a magnet. We live near by so we
will keep an updated record of what states the cache's collection
is getting.
If you are traveling on the east bound DO NOT PARK ON THE
INTERSTATE RAMP because there is a bobwire fence between the
ramp road and the cache. Instead drive all the way up and turn to
the service road (Roeser Rd). It is also a safer area to park out
of the way from exiting traffic.
