Geocache Description:

The Pee Dee Group has a listing of Pee Dee Gold-Best of the Pee Dee
geocaches so this one is placed to highlight that. It is in the
heart of the Pee Dee and placed along the Pee Dee River which gives
the region it's name.

Due to tree cover and the terrain near GZ, your coordinates may be off from those posted. Feel free to add your coordinates when you post so maybe we can fine tune them.
The container is a decon kit'
Located at one of the landings along
the Great Pee Dee River.

The area is subject to flooding from time to time so PLEASE
TIGHTEN THE TOP when you replace the container so that it might
stay dry inside.

We are trying to bring attention to the great caches in the Pee Dee area and to recognize those cachers that have taken the time to place and maintain those caches so that all of us may enjoy finding them.

The counties for which we have members are Sumter, Lee, Chesterfield, Marlboro, Dillon, Florence and Darlington. We know there may be some over lap with areas claimed by other groups but these are the counties where our member live.
