Geocache Description:

This cache is another in a series of whimsical animal caches in the Polson area.

You will find "Bear in a Tree" in the park at the bottom of the hill at the Kerr Dam site. This site can only be accessed during daylight hours as the gate at the Kerr Dam turn off is locked at sunset. This park was established adjacent to the Kerr Dam staff housing area and contains numerous large and spectacular deciduous trees. It is a particularly attractive area in the fall as the maple and birch trees change color. You are looking for a camouflaged plastic pill container with some room for small trade items. The FTF prize is a New Zealand keychain with built in compass! Be on the look out for wildlife, I have seen deer, black bears, a badger, bobcat and a porcupine down here. While you are in the area be sure to check out the other caches.
