Geocache Description:

Flat GZ.

The Bamboo grove was brought to Australia in the 1880's to be used for the propagation of pine plantation seedlings. The bamboo was cut into 20cm long segments then it was filled with soil and a pine seed was put into it. When the seed had germinated the whole lot was planted in the ground and this was how Wirrabara and Jamestown Forest was started by this method. But now the bamboo has become a feral plant and is taking over waterways and byways.

This cache is in a snap container. Contains small swaps, log book and pencil.
