The fifth of a short series along Putney Park Lane, a pleasant traffic free byway with medieval origins and an almost rural feel that heads south from the Upper Richmond Road to Putney Heath.
You are looking for a small container, log only. There's quite a bit of summer growth at GZ, but this shouldn't stop you reaching the cache. Please replace correctly.
For a bit of history, see North Lodge (GC353V2).
Dover House was located at the southern end, and on the western side, of Putney Park Lane. It was built in the early 18th Century for Lord Dover and was the country residence of J.P. Morgan, the financier, until his death in 1913. The London County Council bought the house after the Great War and knocked it down to make way for the Dover House Estate. All that remains is the gateway near GZ and the listed Regency lodge behind it.
