Geocache Description:

LOCATED AT AN AREA AT THE END OF MAIN STREET NEAR THE RIVER. THE CACHE HIDE AREA IS AT STREET LEVEL.

Rising Sun was born on the banks of the mighty Ohio River. Settlers came from both up and down river to visit our gorgeous riverfront. You can see why they could not pass us up! Rising Sun became a city in 1814 and the State of Indiana did not become a state until 1816. We have a tremendous amount of history in this small community.
