Geocache Description:

Out searching for caches hidden in the general area and stumbled across this out-of-the-way cemetery. Pretty nice and well maintained.

Cemetery is roughly 2 miles or so south on I-70 on Moritz Road. This road is gravel, well maintained, and does have some neat curves. Once you see the sign indicating the direction to cemetery (see photo), turn east and it is roughly 1/2 mile drive from main road.

This access road drops into a saddle of 2 hills, so travel may be questionable in winter with lack of sunshine and ice/snow present.

Also, even though this access road has cattle fences on both sides, please beware of cattle. As I was getting back into my vehicle noticed a quite large cow (bigger than my little pick-up truck) standing in the middle of the road.

As always, follow the rules that we have all read on other page write-ups concerning visiting cemeteries.

UPDATE: February 19, 2012:

This is the 4th container to be placed at this site. First 2 containers went missing, and 3rd container was all chewed up by the critters that inhabit this area. New container should hold up much better than the previous container. If this container gets chewed up/missing, I'll re-think this location.

NO need to get on hands/knees and go exploring too far inside that gi-gundess bush, for the critters that built that nest system that is inside there may say otherwise - do not want anyone screaming like a little g...!!! NO need to disturb any pack-rat nests (they pretty much stole 3 previous containers at this location and own it). NO need to search that gi-normous bush except as close to the coordinates as possible. May be easier to find if back is to barb wire fence and looking into that green monster at an angle.

Container is about the size of a SODA CAN & is a different color from its surroundings. If the critters chew through that, then they deserve to dominate the Earth. Cache placed in original position.

UPDATE: April 16, 2016 - Replaced original container with a camo-ed container about the SIZE OF A SODA CAN. Should be a lot friendlier to that green monster. Raised D/T just a bit.

UPDATE: April 07, 2017 - In order to make this cache more findable, re-positioned with-in/out of cemetery. Should be a quicker find, however cache is still part of a "green monster".
