Geocache Description:

Our friends at the Heartland Forest have been struggling as of late to get the Forest cleaned up and beautified.

Since there are only 2 people there on the payroll, there is little money to hire extra hands to help around.

Since the people at the Forest have been so inviting and courteous towards us in the past with allowing us to hold my yearly event there and encouraging us to place caches in the area, I thought it would be nice if we take some time to give back to them as well.

WHERE: Heartland Forest, corner of Brown and Kalar Roads

WHEN: Saturday, November 12th, 11am til 2pm or later

WHY: why not?

WHO: Anybody who would be willing to donate some of their time

WHAT: A simple cleanup before the snow comes

HOW: With our muscles and skills, and whatever cleaning products we have available

I am currently looking into getting some prizes to give away at the event, as well as, looking into getting some food for us.

We will be looking to clean up the trails, picking up any garbage, cleaning up the playground, cleaning the classroom and bathrooms, maybe some mopping, just really some housecleaning at the Forest!

If you have any gloves or cleaning supplies, please bring them and dress accordingly. Although the snow should hold off until then, we can always count on Mother Nature's icy grip to descend upon us with no warning.

If you plan on attending, please post a will attend, how many people will be accompanying you and anything that you would be able to bring along, in regards to supplies, gloves, garbage bags, food, refreshments, donations. Anything would be helpful, but not mandatory.

Let's show the people at the Heartland Forest that cachers care and we are used to getting our hands dirty.
