Conestogo Lake Circa 1860 Traditional Cache
Conestogo Lake Circa 1860
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
This is the historical site of the Spring Hill Methodist Church and Cemetery, on a hill overlooking Conestoga Lake. The church is long gone now and the stones have been neatly placed together for the convenience of the groundskeeper. Behind the cedars, you will see where the graves are, covered now with periwinkle and ivy, lovingly planted by family members, themselves departed. As you walk around, you can feel the history of the place, where pioneers came to mourn their loved ones over 150 years ago.

Parking can be risky. There's a little lane area on the left of the site, near the emergency number, but it is steep and may be hard to back out of. Park on the road on the opposite side of the cemetery, as this is the most visible spot from both directions.
