This cache is placed on Wildlife Management Land that was once a part of a railroad line from Wayne to Niobrara, Nebraska. The tracks laid by the Northwestern Nebraska Railroad Company in 1886 are gone, but many of the small towns, like Sholes and Randolph, developed as railroad shipping points for farmers are still here.
Use caution if parking on the main road, as it is busy at times. The cache is fairly easy to walk to from the side road on the north side of the Wildlife Management area. Be considerate, try to make as little of an impact on the area as possible. Notes: Permission was granted for this cache. Please replace exactly as found. May not be accessible with deep snow.
