Ulvenhoutse Voorbos Multi-Cache

Een multi in een prachtig, afwisselend natuurgebied.

De coördinaten hierboven leiden je naar het eerste waypoint. Voor de eindcache zul je verder moeten zoeken .
De parkeerplaats (zie extra waypoints) vormt een gunstig begin en eindpunt voor je zoektocht.

We zijn te gast in een bijzonder natuurgebied. Houd je aan de regels en blijf op wegen en paden! Ook voor het vinden van de eindcache is het niet nodig om van het pad af te gaan!

Alle waypoints liggen langs de rood gemarkeerde wandelroute. Op elk waypoint is een aanwijzing verborgen. De final is verborgen op

Reken voor het vinden van de cache op een wandeling van ongeveer 5½km / 2 uur.

Een deel van dit bos kan erg nat zijn, dus goede schoenen of laarzen zijn aan te raden. Sommige paden zijn met een buggy of kinderwagen slecht begaanbaar (door de modder). De hond mag los.

Het Voorbos

Het Ulvenhoutse bos is eeuwenoud. Sommige stukken van het Voorbos zijn zelfs al zo'n 1000 jaar oud. Al in de 15e eeuw werd het bos door de heren van Breda beheerd voor de houtkap en voor de jacht. Het bos bevat voor Nederland unieke overgangen van droog naar nat, van zand naar veen en van voedselrijk naar voedselarm. Er komen diverse bostypen voor zoals het eiken- en haagbeukenbos, het beuken-eikenbos en een ‘kwelgevoed’ elzenbroekbos. De oudste gedeelten van het bos zijn zeer waardevol. Ze worden gezien als referentie voor een natuurlijk bostype. Eigenlijk zijn het museumstukken in de natuur.Het gebied is in 2010 opgenomen op de lijst Natura 2000 van Europese beschermingsgebieden.

This is a fairly straightforward multi-cache in a unique, varied natural area.

The coordinates in the heading are those of the first waypoint, where you can find your first clue.
A parking area nearby (see extra waypoints section) provides you with a great starting-point for your search.

We are welcomed as guests in a unique natural environment. Please stick to the rules and stay on the path. All clues, as well as the final cache are accesible without leaving the path.

All stages are situated along the trail that with red markings. At each waypoint you can find a clue. These clues, when combined with the following coordinates, will lead you to the final.

The route to find all clues and the final will be approx. 5½ km (3½ mi) / 2 hrs.

Parts of the route can be very wet and muddy, so come prepared. Because of the mud, some parts of the route may be inaccesible for strollers.

About the Voorbos

The Voorbos goes back for centuries. Some parts are even 1000 years old. From the 15th century, The lords of Breda kept these woods to provide themselves with lumber and game.

The Voorbos is unique because of its differences in soil. From dry to wet, sand to peat, rich to poor. As a result you can see three different types of wood: Oak and Hornbeam woods, Beech and Oak woods and Alder wetlands.

Especially the older parts of the wood are very valuable. They serve as reference of a natural woodtype. In fact, they are a living museum. In 2010 the Voorbos was added to the Natura 2000 network of protected areas.

Vous êtes invités dans une réserve naturelle, vraiment exceptionelle. Suivez les règles s'il vous plaît et restez sur les pistes. Tous les indices et aussi le cache sont accessible depuis la piste.

Pour trouver la boîte, tient compte d'une promenade d'environ 5½km / 2h.

Parties de cette fôret peuvent être très mouillé. Soyez préparé pour ça. C'est aussi pourqoui la route n'est pas adaptée pour des poussettes.

À propos le Voorbos (fôret devant)

Le Voorbos a centaines d'ans. Les plus anciens parties de cette fôret ont mêmes environ 1000 ans. Déja au 15ème siecle, les seigneurs de Breda ont réussi la fôret pour le bois et pour la chasse.

Le bois contient des transitions du sol unique aux Pays-Bas. De sec à humide, du sable à la tourbe, et de sols riches aux sols pauvres. Par conséquent on peut observer trois types de fôret different: Bois de chêne et de charme, bois d'hêtre et de chêne et bois marais avec aulne.

Les parties le plus ancien sont très précieuses. Ils sont considérés une référence de fôret naturelle. En fait, c'est un musée vivant.

En 2010, le Voorbos a été ajouté à Natura 2000, un réseau d'aires protégées.
