Thanks to 'Possum for the inspiration for this challenge!
OBJECT: Take a traveler to its listed final destination. Already completed the challenge? Check your records and go find this cache!
To earn a smiley for this cache, you must complete the challenge, then find and sign the log.
RULES OF THE GAME:
- Travelers (geocoins, jeeps, travel bugs, pathtags, cachkinz or diabetes tags and coins) must be trackable at geocaching.com.
- ALL Travelers are not eligible until they have been in circulation for at least 6 months from their launch date.
- Travelers must have a specific destination or mission listed on the travelers’ cache page.
- Travelers may not be owned by the geocacher claiming a completed mission.
- The traveler must be logged on the travelers’ cache page as being in possession of the geocacher claiming a completed mission.
- Teams may claim a smiley if the traveler is in the team's possession, but individuals from the team may not then claim a completed mission.
- To complete a mission, the traveler must be placed and logged into the nearest geocache to the final destination that is large enough to accommodate the traveler. If there is no cache nearby, challenge qualifications can not been met, and no smiley can be awarded. However, The C.O. will arbitrate special cases and exceptions relative to distance upon request.
- The cache into which a traveler is placed may be owned by the geocacher claiming a smiley only if the cache was published prior to the publication date of this challenge cache.
Examples of qualifying missions:
- I want to travel from Montana to visit the Cape Cod lighthouse.
- Go to California and have my picture taken with Tommy Trojan.
- Visit every NFL stadium in the country. (This qualifies when the geocacher takes the traveler to the last stadium needed to complete the mission).
- Travel to 221B Baker Street in London, and return home to Hot Springs, AK. (This qualifies twice: once for London and once for returning to Hot Springs).
Examples of non-qualifying missions:
- My goal is to travel from cache to cache spreading happiness.
- Visit as many volunteer firehouses as possible.
- Be listed in a Meet and Greet event cache.
- Take me to a [pick one: Disney, railroad, scenic view, pet, Civil War, etc.] themed cache. This type of destination is too broad and qualifies only if a specific cache is named.
The Online log must contain: The traveler's trackable name and reference number, the GC code for the cache where the traveler was placed and the date the mission was completed.
