The sources on about.com claim that numerous veterinarians agree that cats actually do land on their feet most of the time. “Cats, even very young kittens, have an amazing sense of balance.
When falling, the fluid in the inner ear shifts and the cat rotates its head until it equalizes and the fluid is level. The body automatically shifts to follow the head, and the cat lands on its feet. It also helps that the cat is extremely agile and his fluid muscles respond instantly. A cat has 30 vertebrae - 5 more than humans, which accounts in part for this amazing agility.”
Inspired by the popular saying, "You can't swing a dead cat without hitting a.....", I decided it was time to place a series of caches around my hometown.
The caches in this series have been placed in a high muggle activity location. You may have to visit this location on more than one occasion, or even retrieve the cache during "off" hours. Please use caution when retrieving or replacing these containers.
Please bring your own pen and do not feel the need to leave anything in this cache for the next person. Your John Hancock is all I need. I hope you enjoy and catch some wonderful deals along the way.
No cats were maimed in the placing of this cache.
