Geocache Description:

This cache is in a small Lock-N-Lock container beside the trail and fairly easy to find. There may be ticks and poison ivy as is usual for this area.

This cache is placed in honor of Shawn, one of our 17 grand children.
Shawn and his older brother Wes were staying part of one summer with us and I took them to the lake for the day. We had been doing a little hiking and learning about a few of the wild foods. While we were walking I got a little ahead of them. Shawn came running up and asked me if we could eat the huge wild onions he had picked. I told them that they had a very strong flavor but I could put in Potato soup for them. When we got home they still had the wild onions so I cooked them in the soup. They ate Potato soup for dinner that evening, breakfast the next morning and finished it at lunch time. I like Potato soup but I believe they like it more than I do.
Shawn is grown now and still loves potato soup with onions.
