The ladybird caches

A series of 19 caches around the beautiful villages of Gwernaffield and Pantymwyn set as a joint effort between Petchys, Ywaunhillers and The_peacocks.

Look for the ladybirds – they may even help you. Many of the caches ended up having links to songs – this didn't start intentionally but it just ended up that way!

Many can be done individually and even a few as drive-bys, but we hope you enjoy a nice walk of around 2-3 hours (depending on how long you spend finding the caches!). Parking can be found in many locations, but we recommend you park and start by the park in the village of Gwernaffield. That way, you should start with number 1.

In geometry, a hypotenuse is the longest side of a right-angled triangle, the side opposite the right angle. The length of the hypotenuse of a right angled triangle can be found using the Pythagorean theorem, which states that the square of the length of the hypotenuse equals the sum of the squares of the lengths of the other two sides. But all you need to know is that opposite the hypotenuse you will find a right angle
