St Stephens (Canterbury) Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

1066: This cache has been here since October 2011 but we feel it is now time to remove it. Unfortunately, the cache is often interfered with by the local kids and travel bugs have never been very safe here. The church is always worth a look as it has some rather lovely stained glass windows. Thanks to everyone who enjoyed finding this cache.

Geocache Description:

Cache contains a notebook, pen and pencil. It also contained a travel Bug, and some swaps when first hidden.

The church is usually unlocked so go in to have a look especially at the windows. The window of St Francis is surrounded by NZ flora and fauna.

Another interesting thing is the carved fish outside. It was carved by Paul Deans, form Mount Somers Limestone and was place in the churchyard in 1996 in memory of Robert and Anne Pinney.
