Geocache Description:

The mighty Wolves

The Tea Tree Gully Football Club, then known as the Rifles, first recorded game was against ‘The Adelaidians’ near Modbury on August 30 1862.
The match was played on what was kindly described as "a fallow paddock at Modbury".
For the record, there were no umpires and the game started around 2pm with twenty players in each side, at around 5:15pm, “The Adelaidians” kicked its second goal this amounted to an unsurpassable lead and the game was declared in their favour 2 goals to nil.
This game is one of the first ever recorded in South Australia.

Please let me know when log needs replacing.
