Clear Creek Forest #3
The SQ in the cache name above signifies Spirit Quest, a project by the Northwest Ohio Geocachers to distinguish those caches that are set in cemeteries or memorial gardens. I decided to copy that indicator for our cemetery caches to highlight cemeteries in the area.
Please be respectful of the area, and observe the posted hours which are sunrise to sunset.
This is the third in a 3 part series in the Clear Creek Forest Nature Preserve. The cache is a camouflaged Ammo Box, and is not too hard to find once you are in the cache area. This is a wonderful Carolinian forest and is one of my favorite
spots in this area.
Mosquitoes will be plentiful in the summer. I have included a
bottle of Muskol Mosquito Repellent in the cache. Feel free to use
it if you need it, but please leave it for the next
cachers.
Parking coordinates are at N 42° 28.136 W 081° 42.683
Although it will appear that you can drive in farther, it is strongly discouraged. There are very muddy spots, and few areas to turn around.
The thorns it this area are deadly, so be careful!
