Charles the Worm Man Traditional Cache
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
A film canister with a pencil, log sheet and small swag. Charles, the worm man, knows that the cache is there and hopefully will keep it safe from muggles.
Charles sells fishing worms from the side of the road to fishermen on their way to Kariba and the Zambezi River. There are many worm sellers along this busy road but Charles has shown that signage is the secret to sell worms! He has a huge canvas drop which lists all his best customers – if you can get your name on this back drop you are recognised as an avid fisherman. As you travel along this road take photos of all the worm signs you pass. There are some classic signs painted on well beaten metal sign boards. “Red Worms of Note” “Anaconda Whorms” “Puff Adder Worms” “ Bigest Werms” are a few of the signs you will see. It’s good for a chuckle! I’m sure Charles will share a few fishing secrets with you and tell you of the characters who stop to buy worms. Stretch your leg’s, it’s still a long way to the water’s edge!
Charles and his team are aware of the cache and have promised to keep an eye on it.
