No 4 In a series to commemorate the old wooden signposts.
As a child I used to cycle, with my friends, miles around the back lanes of Exminster, and until we learnt to use a map these signposts were invaluable. We soon discovered that the tops unscrewed and you could alter the directions that the fingers pointed, this gave us no end of amusement as we watched cars go around in circles. You can’t do that now as they are all fixed.
The coordinates are taken over an average of 10 readings and the cashes are placed as close as possible to the posts, during the summer please be aware of basking Adders when poking around. Note as the lanes are very narrow please use care if using a car, these are best done by walking or cycling
