This cache is located close to one of the best preserved mining pits in the woodland - where you can still see the stone/brick entrance, though it is now sealed.
These bell pits are often mistaken for 'bomb craters' by kids, they are distinctive and you can often found coal by going to the bottom of the pit and scraping your boots on the ground!
