That's my story - Eltee1 Traditional Cache

Micro cache placed just off a trail in the Coldbrook Preserve. Start at the trailhead on Homestead Rd and take the Yellow trail to the logging road just before the bridge. Cache is barely off the logging road trail.
This cache is a spawn of GC2ZQFN "That's My Story...Master Cache" which provided the container for this cache with the stipulation that I had to tell my personal geocaching story.
My geocaching story started in July 2003 when a buddy showed me an article about this new activity that involved using a GPS to find hidden treasures. Since I already had a GPS for my miltary use, I thought I'd give it a try and my son and I went after our first one a couple days later. We actually found two that first day and I was hooked. In the years that followed, I had some real interesting adventures while caching including some crazy times caching in a combat zone in the Middle East.
I also have met some amazing people and found some good friends along the way. In 2007 at the annual NYCRG event, "Dad"-Geoslider invited me along for a caching spree around town while "Mom"-Geoslider invited Can't Find Diddly along. Diddly and I hit it off right away and ended up spending the rest of the event weekend together.
A year later we were engaged (at a scenic cache) and in another year we got married. I often say, she is the best thing I've ever found at a cache. Since we've been together, we have both enjoyed many more caching adventures together all over the country and even had some incredible experiences while caching in Ireland on our honeymoon.
So now my caching story is happily ever after intertwined with Diddly's.
