Geocache Description:

In Allen Park Conservation Area just off the rabbit trail loop. This loop rounds many springs and is often wet and mucky especially after a rain. The terrain is slightly undulating but has tree roots exposed across the trail. GPS had 8m accuracy so look around.

Ben has been back at it! A highly cammoed film canister with log book only.
An interesting note to the area... When you look around you will see some trees that look like they are on stilts over a mound. These are Yellow Birch and they have the smallest seed of all forest trees. About 385000 seeds to the pound. Because of this they tend to grow on freshly turned up soil, like when a tree falls over and exposes the roots and soil. The Yellow Birch roots grow downward and the tree below rots away leaving the birch on stilts! If you crush a twig of this tree, it will smell like wintergreen. This tree is the commercial supply of wintergreen flavour. A steeped tea of small twigs and leaves will relieve a headache too.
