Geocache Description:

N 52° 22.RDBKGN  W 001° 58.BEPKYW

The transcendental mathematician LE, who introduced (in an unpublished paper on explosive forces in cannons) a mathematical symbol for the transcendental number first logged in 1618, designed this 6 by 6 square. To solve it, place each of the numbers 0 to 8 horizontally or vertically in the square so that:

  • all the squares are used

  • the gold squares contain LE's mathematical symbol

  • the corner squares form one side of a square of area 144 square inches

Then use the contents of 5 by 5 to interpret the co-ordinates.

There is nothing at the listed co-ordinates. This cache contains a square needed to find 7 by 7.
