Geocache Description:


On June 12, 1852, Japan's first cesarean section was performed in Motohashi's house.
Surgery rely on written translation of the Dutch obstetric was performed without anesthesia.
Successful surgery was miracle.
Until 1879 and then in Japan, cesarean section has not been done.

1852年6月12日、ここ本橋家で日本国内最初の帝王切開術が行われました。
手術はオランダ産科書の翻訳を頼りに、麻酔なしで行われました。
手術の成功はまさに奇跡でした。
その後1879年まで、国内で帝王切開術が行われた記録はありません。
