How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

Take rt 202A in Strafford to Johnsonboro rd. It is an old dirt road, passable for the most part. You can also hike it out. There are other caches on/off this road, you can make a nice little walk out of this if you park at the beginning of the road.

This is a lock 'n lock container hidden by Kenneth's pond (locals call it Ken's pond). This property is maintained by the town for school and public use. The cache is maintained by my 6th grade students at the local school in conjunction with our Geography/GPS unit taught in the fall.

The cache has school and curriculum related items to start. You will find that in addition to Geography the 6th graders also learn Ancient Cultures. PLEASE leave the Egypt book and Greek cards for all to enjoy!

Theme: Trade anything that is geographical, historical, or of any educational significance. Travel bugs & coins are very welcome, they help my students experience travel patterns and other places they have never been.

FTF gets a small geocaching compass that attaches to a coat or other zipper.
