Circling the Drain Traditional Geocache

spewey: Turns out the cache was exactly where I placed it and in great shape. After some debate I am still opting to archive this one. There is a lot of construction going on around the drain itself (in fact it is now empty) and it's not clear what future access to this area may involve. I was able to rescue the ammo can and it will be resurrected in the form of a new cache before too long.

Geocache Description:

We were out exploring the SW Issaquah Highlands when we came across this spot in one of the last stands of forest in the area. We decided we needed to drop a cache to mark it. If you come on a clear day you may see plentiful mountains and paragliders.

Keep an eye out for the subtle side trail. There are a couple of ways in; only the faintest whiff of bushwhacking is required.

This is our first traditional cache and the hide is fairly standard. Hoping to fill up our first log on this one. Happy hunting!

Update 11/23/13: Added waypoint with the trailhead coordinates for the side trail. This route will steer well clear of the homeless camp that has been spotted in the area.
