Geocache Description:


Kotta Railway Station was 1 of 10 stations on the single line from Elmore to Cohuna. The Northern line was progressively opened between 1912 and 1915. Kotta opened in 1915 until the line closed in 1981. Now there is only a memorial on the Platform. IN MEMORY OF AUSTERALIANS HEROES The trees on Kotta railway station ground were planted by the residents of the surrounding district on July 28th and August 2nd 1918 in memory of Australian Soldiers who have fallen in the Great War. There is a track in but can get wet after rain But it is not a long walk. The cache is a small plastic SPC fruit container with screw lid it has a log book, and some small swaps BYO pen PLEASE BEWARE OF SNAKES Enjoy the hunt
