Northeast Park Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Balayang: I am regretfully archiving this cache since unfortunately there has been no action to restore it, or any communication from the cache owner, Tassie Trekkers, requesting additional time.

An ample opportunity has been provided for the Cache Owner to respond, but since this opportunity has been ignored, I can only conclude that the cache has been abandoned.

Caches archived under these circumstances are unable to be Unarchived, and this location is now available for the placement of a new cache, by somebody else.

Geocache Description:

Enjoy the peaceful surrounds of this park and free campground

Placed this cache on our North East caravan and caching weekend. We based ourselves here and were able to explore the local region. The park is not called after it's location in the North East of Tasmania. It is named in honour of Charles Northeast who initiated the concept of a peoples park in 1930. It was officially opened in 1935. The park provides free unpowered camp sites for tents, caravans and motorhomes for up to seven nights. Coin operated hot showers, toilets, BBQ's and playground. There are many great locations to visit whether you come for a day or to camp, check out this park. Cache contains logbook only please bring your own pen
