nice walk to cache
This cache is situated on a tramping track from the seaside town of Pauanui. Park your car at the end of the road by the toilets. There are two ways two get to the cache.
The shorted and easiest way is to walk along the track towards the rocks at the point and towards Cave Bay. Take the track up the hill approximately 15-20 min. You will arrive at a lookout area (seat) where the cache is located.
Or the other way to get to it is to follow the track to the summit of Mt Pauanui which takes about 50 -60 minutes. (there is also another cache up here at the trig). You then need to leave the summit and take the track towards Cave Bay. It takes about 45 minutes of mostly down hill to get to the came location (seat). (the cache is not at Cave bay)
This track should only be attempted by people who are fit and experienced as the weather can be changeable. The track can be slippery and is undulating. Many families walk these tracks but only with adults.
Please rehie well as muggeles often walk by. This cache should be easy to find as we don't want you to walk all this way and not find it.
