Kulmer Preserve - A 28 acre Louisville Metro Park. It is actually a small strip of land between Dixie Highway and the Ohio River. Amenities include a picnic shelter, paved parking, river frontage, and most importantly a .85 mile (one way) hiking trail. The trail begins at the picnic shelter and ends at the confluence of the Ohio and Salt Rivers.
There is a cache near the parking area, a traditional and earthcache at the end of the trail. That is a lot of wooded land without cache concentration. This series of caches is an effort to eliminate that problem.
The trail parallels an elevated railroad track to the east. At no time will you need to approach those tracks. The three caches on that side are both within 25 feet of the trail well away from railroad right of way.
You are seeking a subdued preform tube. Since the cache container was given to me by Paddle thought I would give you one in his style (well one of them - no you don't have to climb anything). Also since this is the last of my series thought I should give you a bit of a challenge. Hope you had a good time at least up till now.
CONGRATULATIONS RBCT109 ON FTF.
