Going east toward Lawrenceburg, trail users pass cultivated fields of corn, often populated with deer, and a densely wooded section. Wildlife in the area include beaver, deer, foxes, and shorebirds. The A-L Trail will also have a trailhead in Aurora at Lesko Park and follow existing through streets through historic downtown Aurora, passing two structures that are on the National Historic Register - Hillforest House Museum and the George Street bridge. The trail will continue on George Street, before connecting to Manchester Landing and the former rail line along the Ohio River.
