We'll head out at midnight
But we do not like the snow!
So, okay, we don't get a lot of snow in the High Desert, but we do
get some! The background picture was taken in front of our house in
Spring Valley Lake in December 2008.
Come join us for an evening of fun, food, and friends. You will
find us in the Private Party Room at the Golden Corral Buffet &
Grill. This place gets great reviews and it's an all-you-can-eat
buffet for pretty reasonable prices (Adults - $11 plus drink &
tax; Kids - (3 or under are free), (4-8 yrs) $4, (9-12 yrs) $5 plus
drink & tax, and Seniors $10 plus drink & tax). Come join
us for the fun, even if you don't want to eat!
We will be starting the gift swap at about 7:15 p.m.
Participation in the gift swap is entirely optional!
If you plan to participate in the swap, please plan to be at the
event by 7:00 so all the gifts are there!
Here's how the swap will work:
1. Please bring one, small, inexpensive, gift-wrapped
GEOCACHING-RELATED gift for the exchange. This can include
geocoins, travel bug tags, geocaches, t-shirts, ammo cans, cool
swag....whatever you want as long as it is
geocaching-related!
2. You will get a ticket for the gift you bring (Only one gift per
person, please).
3. The first ticket will be drawn and that person gets to pick a
gift from all the choices. They will open it and show it off while
everybody goes "Ohhh," and "Ahhhh!"
4. The next ticket is drawn, and that person has the choice of
"stealing" the first gift or taking a new one from the pile. If the
second person "steals" the first gift, then the first person gets
to pick a new one from the pile.
5. This will continue for each successive ticket drawn. Each person
has the choice of "stealing" somebody else's gift, or taking a new
one from the pile.
6. ONCE A GIFT HAS BEEN "STOLEN" THREE TIMES, IT IS THEN FROZEN AND
THAT PERSON GETS TO KEEP THE GIFT!
In the end, everybody who brought a gift will go home with a
gift.
In addition, there will be some cool give-aways at the end and
EVERYBODY WHO ATTENDS will get a ticket for a chance at
those!
Bring your trackables and coins to share, swap, and discover!
