Geocache Description:

The second of a short series along Putney Park Lane, a pleasant traffic free byway with medieval origins and an almost rural feel that heads south from the Upper Richmond Road to Putney Heath.

You will find yourself on the open space called the Pleasance, looking for a small canister, log only, so bring your own pen.

For a bit of history, see North Lodge (GC353V2).

Putney Park House is the only one of the large mansions accessed by Putney Park Lane that remains to this day. It is a Grade II listed Mid-Georgian house with large stuccoed additions built by Decimus Burton for a Mr. Robert Hutton in 1837-8. It stands just off Pleasance Road, to the south west of GZ, surrounded by the houses of the Dover Park Estate, long since divided into apartments. A fabulous cedar tree (I think) stands in the front garden of the house, which you can see through the gates.
