Another in our series of local moth species, a quick cache and dash. This is a small screw top container with log book, pencil, small swappables and FTF card.
The Dingy Footman comes from a family of moths related to the Tiger Moths so named because they look as neat and tidy as footmen serving royalty. This species is very common especially in woodland where the caterpillars feed through most of the year on lichens growing on tree trunks.
