Geocache Description:

I came across this natural spring while driving the winding road along Route 7 as it crosses over Caddell Mountain (elevation in the range of 3,000 feet).

I drove past this spot in the road several times a week and I usually noticed a car or two parked alongside... and wondered why. So, one day, when no cars were parked alongside this cement trough by the side of the road, I decided to stop and investigate. I discovered an ever-flowing natural spring with the most refreshing, cold mountain water I've ever tasted. Now, whenever I travel on this road, I always keep an empty water bottle or two in my car. I never miss the opportunity to fill them up with water from this natural spring. So here's a mountain-water toast to Bob and Patti, the CachewNutsNY with appreciation to them for adopting my Long Island/New York caches when I moved to West Virginia. I do hope that you both come down for a visit someday so I can bring you here to find your namesake cache. You're looking for a small container that is nestled in the roots of a tree. High muggle area! Watch your footing in the area... it's wet due to the flowing water, therefore it's slippery. You do NOT have to go onto private property (Posted signs) to find this cache container.
