Have the pleasure of seeing the Peacocks (alone or with family and siblings) roaming in this particular area freely. This area is favorite of Peacocks and protected by the Forest Department. However, anyone can go there and no permission is required. You can take photographs; people voluntarily keep nice pulses and grains to feed them. These habitats are used to people but keep distance from them. You can hear their calls (shouts – like cats, ‘Miyau’) all around particularly in the evening time. You can see them alone or in groups of 2,4,6,8. Don’t just look on the ground but also on top of the trees, yes they do fly.
This area is locally Called ‘Bhamburda Van Vihar’ and part of ‘Vetal Hill’ (for more description see Cache: Vetal Tekadi).
Geocachers will love and enjoy the visit. I wish to recommend you the time between 4am and 9am or 5pm and 7pm when there are lots of people there, rest of the time it is lonely so don't go alone. There is one automotive research Center in one corner called ARAI. You can take your bike/car up to the Parking lot in the above mentioned time only. Otherwise you can climb the hill from any point, any time.
Advise: go by the nearest walking trail from Meeting point or else you can choose your own path. Also I recommend trekking shoes, full trousers and full shirts, lots of mosquitoes in the grass and slippery on the slopes.
