Deze cache is in onze voortuin en is bedoeld voor kleine goodies en TB's of coins.
Een kabouter of gnoom is een mythologisch wezen. Deze figuur komt voor in talloze sprookjes (en andere volksverhalen) verspreid over de hele wereld.
In Nederland en Vlaanderen zijn ze bekend als kabouters, in Scandinavië als nisse, in Groot-Brittannië als gnomes, brownies, hobgoblins of piskies, in Duitsland spreekt men van kobolden of gnom en in Rusland van domovoj. Er zijn nog talloze andere benamingen.
Afhankelijk van de regio waar ze volgens de folklore voorkomen, verschillen ze van uiterlijk en gedrag. Bepaalde zaken hebben ze echter gemeen:
hun kleine gestalte en hun vermogen zich onzichtbaar te maken of verborgen te houden voor mensen
ze kiezen ervoor in de omgeving van mensen te verkeren en willen - zo wordt verteld, tegen een kleine vergoeding trouw allerlei klusjes doen
bij slechte behandeling kunnen ze zich als kwelgeest gedragen.

A leprechaun or gnome is a mythical creature that plays a role in many stories and fairy tales all over the world.
In the Netherlands and Flanders we know them as kabouter, in Scandinavia they are called tomte or nisse, in Great Brittain they are called gnomes, brownies, hobgoblins or pixies, in Germany the are known as kobold or gnom, in Russia they call them domovoj. And there are many more names for them.
Depending on the region they live in according to the folktales, they differ in appearance and behaviour. They all have some commonalities though:
They are small creatures that are masters in staying hidden from us. They choose to live in our surroundings and are willing to do chores for a reward. When treated badly they can become real pests.
Who wouldn’t believe!
