A geocache located at one of my old favorite junk yards when I was a child. The cache is located near 14th St W and Virginia Ave.
Could be muggles so I made it a 2 difficult.
Can you really believe this? Are my eyes seeing what I think it is seeing? This cache is not like your typical swag geocache. I am not going to require trading item for item. If you see something you can use take it. If the container ever gets too low I have plenty to replace it with. Every now and then during one of those “honey do jobs” you come up to a point where you need some small part. Most of us have a junk drawer or jar or something we keep nuts, bolts, screws, washers, etc etc in. Well just in case you don’t have the part you need maybe it will be here. Then again! Maybe not! You don’t have to trade items here just take what you need or want.
Back in the 1950’s to whenever there used to be an old junk yard full of wrecked and broken down cars, trucks etc. I used to come here to get parts for my car because I could not afford new ones. The main business has since moved to 1st street and deals more in scrap metal than used car parts now. There is still a "junk" business at this location run by one of the decedents of the original owner. I have fond memories of visiting the car junkyard that used to be here in this area.
The cache is a nice size mixed nuts container with nuts (non edible), bolts, screws, and washers, light switch, tie down rings and all kinds of junk. So check you list of jobs and come by and see if the part you need is here. Have fun and keep the area clean of any extra trash.
