This is a circular walk which includes part of Ladies’ Walk on the south eastern edge of Andover. As a family we have loved walking along Ladies' Walk ever since moving in close by; the views over the town are excellent especially on a sunny day.
The walk itself is partly on quiet roads, tarmac footpath and tracks which may get muddy in wet weather. You will also have to cross a busy road between #7 and #8 so please take care.
The circuit is about 2.5 miles and can be completed between 1 hour and 1.5 hours.
There are 8 caches in all which are a mixture of micro and small.
You will need your own pen/pencil for some of them. Difficulty & Terrain numbers relate to the series as a whole.
You are looking for a 35mm film canister placed just off the path. We think it's a bit more difficult than our others but maybe experienced cachers will find this no problem at all.
This cache is also part of the Andover Orbital (AO) trail.
It's well hidden and shouldn't be accidentally muggled and we hope you enjoy finding it.
From here you can either continue along the path to pick up a couple more caches placed along Ladies’ Walk, or if you wish to continue with this series you’ll now need to retrace your steps and walk back towards the iron bridge. Just before the bridge, turn left through the large kissing gate and walk down the path. Turn right on to the road and then right again walking along the road, under the iron bridge towards the next cache. This road is very quiet – I’ve hardly ever met a car along here, but still take care especially with dogs and children.
