Geocache Description:

This bell tower is in the Senshu Park of Akita City.
The cache container is a small plastic case. Please bring your own pen.

It was constructed in the vicinity of the back of a present Satake material pavilion in 1639. This bell was delivered as a metal, and had disappeared in World War II.
However, it revived by donating from the citizens as "Peace Bell" in 1948. At this time, the commendation escutcheon and the bud vase was given from Chichibunomiya who was the Royalty, and was mixed with the material of bell as the old convention.
The bell was temporarily unloaded by the superannuation of a wooden belfry. However, the belfry was rebuilt in 1973, and named "Sensyu no Kane". Charge with the bell serves by the Yoshiki family in Edo period, and averages the bell at 7 AM and 9 PM every day now.
