Geocache Description:

A quick and easy peasy cache to get you started on the series.

Congratulations on the FTF TO MR. GULLLABLE, SAGEWARRIOR AND ZAPPARULES.

To enter the park you must be heading northbound on Columbia and turn right at Cumberland across the train tracks towards the water. Winter Park hours are 8AM to 5PM.

DO NOT GO NEAR THE TRAIN TRACKS WHILE SEARCHING!!

In 1858, when the Colony of British Columbia was established and New Westminster was chosen as the capital city, the Columbia Detachment of Royal Engineers set up their camp in the eastern part of the city. Among the corps were many Sappers, or private soldiers. The camp became informally known as Sapperton for Sapper's Town, and even after the disbanding of the corps this section of New Westminster retained this historic name.

The cache is located at the start of a 1km walk along the beautiful and busy New West waterfront. The walk is completely level and accessible to all ages.
