Nech sa paci, prijmite od nas pozvanie na prechadzky po tichsich ulickach Bratislavy. Objavte zakutia, kde ste mozno nikdy predtym neboli, preskumajte, co prave kvitne v predzahradkach, vsimnite si povabne detaily na starych vilkach, pokochajte sa vyhladmi na mesto z uhlov, ktore nebyvaju na pohladniciach. A popritom vsetkom na vas caka naucny geochodnik z oblasti dendrologie. Status Chraneneho stromu udeluju jednotlivym exemplarom Krajske urady zivotneho prostredia. Stromy spoznate podla cedulky so statnym znakom umiestnenom na viditelnom mieste priamo na kmeni.
Let us invite you for a walk through the calm streets of Bratislava. Find the nooks where you have probably never been, explore what is abloom in the front gardens, notice charm details at the old villas and take a pleasure in view of the town from the angles one cannot see at a postcard. Moreover, there is a natural geo-trail of dendrology waiting for you. All Protected trees are declared by the Regional Environmental Office. You can identify them by a small sign with the national emblem. It is situated right on a trunk at visible place.
Stage1:
Borovice cierne –Pinus nigra
Na rozdiel od velmi rozsirenej borovice sosny, ktoru mozeme vidiet napriklad na rozhlahlych hektaroch lesov na Zahori, su borovice cierne napadnejsie svojim hustym tmavozelenym ihlicim a mohutnou dazdnikovou korunou. Na vrsku pri Slavine ich po zahradach rastie viacero, ktovie, ci sa tu pred mnohymi rokmi vysiali samy, alebo to bol zahradnicky zamer.
V blizkosti stromu s oficialnou tabulkou pohladajte schodiky, ktore vas po niekolkych metroch dovedu k pamatniku prvej svetovej vojny – pod dalsimi ciernymi borovicami. Kolko levov sa na nom nachadza? Toto cislo = A
European Black Pines - Pinus nigra
Unlike Scots Pine which grows extensively e.g. at forests of Zahorie, Black Pine is remarkable for its thick dark green needles and large umbrella-like tree top. You can find more of them in the gardens at the hill near Slavin; who knows if they grow here by themselves here or they were planted on purpose.
Close to the tree with official sign there are few steps and a path leading towards First World War memorial – again under the black pines. How many lions are sitting there? This number = A
Stage 2:
Breza papierovita – Betula papyrifera
Ako aj ine brezy, aj tento druh je odolny voci zime, vlhku, aj suchu. Jej domovom je sever Severnej Ameriky, kde losy v zime rady obhryzaju jej koru. Ani nie tak pre jej vyzivovu hodnotu, je vsak lahko a hojne dostupna. U nas je rozsirenejsou skor breza bradavicnata alebo previsnuta. Breza papierovita ma v porovnani s nimi hustejsiu a tmavsiu korunu a aj listy su vacsie. Bohuzial, 2. marca 2015 bol povoleny vyrub tohto stareho stromu a na jeho mieste rastie uz len jeho potomok/súrodenec, ktory ale status chraneneho stromu nema. Stanoviste ponechávame, aby sme vam neskracovali peknu prechadzku.
Nasledne sa obratte k breze chrbtom a zadivajte sa na dom mierne vlavo na naprotivnej strane cesty. Na tom rohu, ktory je k vam najblizsie, spocitajte bezpecnostne kamery. Tento pocet = B.
Paper Birch - Betula papyrifera
Like other birches, this one bears up with cold, damp or drought too. Its homeland is north of North America where its bark is a winter staple for moose. It`s not extremely nourishing but is important because of its sheer abundance. In Slovakia there is more common to find Silver Birch or Weeping Birch. Paper Birch in comparison has thicker and darker tree-top and its leaves are larger as well. Unfortunatelly, this old tree was cut down on March 2nd 2015. The young one is still there but it has no status of protected tree. Nevertheless we want to keep this stage alive so this nice walk will not be shortened.
Now turn around and notice a house slighthly to the left across the street. At the corner which is the nearest to you count the safety cameras. This number = B.
Stage 3:
Borovica hladka, vejmutovka – Pinus strobus
O dreve tohto povabneho stromu viac napovie citat od Betty MacDonald: „Dlazka, ktoru Bob vybral velmi precizne a starostlivo ju polozil, bola z dosak vejmutovky. Uz iba dlazka z bieleho zamatu by sa spinila rychlejsie ako nasa." :) A veru ktovie, ci aj tato borovica neposluzila ako palubovka - uz je z nej iba pen, zrejme vyschla, ako naznacuju niektore starsie logy. Skoda jej. Tato keska je akasi zakliata... Stanoviste vsak aj v tomto pripade ponechavame. Final je uz nedaleko a odporucame vam vybrat sa za nim odtialto smerom nadol a dolava. Vedeli ste, ze mame v Bratislave TAKUTO ulicku?
Ponize pnika su na obluku zakruty dve takmer rovnake garazove brany. Akej su farby? Hnedej = 3; sivej = 6; cervenej = 5; ciernej = 8. Toto cislo = C
Eastern White Pine - Pinus strobus
Something about the wood of white pine by Betty Mac Donald: „Bob has chosen and laid, with great precision and care, white pine floors. Another type of floor which might get possibly as dirty as white pine, or more quickly, would be one of white velvet." :) Maybe this one ended as a floor as well - there is nothing but a stub left at this stage. According to the logs below, the tree was obviously dry for some time. Someone must cast the spell on this cache... Again, we decided not to cancel this stage. Don`t worry, the final is not far! We recommend you to go down the street and then take the first left - you will be surprised to see a path like this in the capital city.
