Hidden with the full knowledge and cooperation of the Site Superintendent, this geocache is also known by the volunteer docents, business owners and employees who populate Heritage Square. But there are also numerous visitors, patrons, diners and tourists milling about at any time, including special event attendees, so you might not know who is a muggle and who is only a semi-muggle, so assume everyone you see is a muggle!

Heritage Square Oxnard celebrated its 25th Anniversary year in 2016! Efforts began in 1985 to save and preserve some of the most significant but endangered historic architectural structures in and around Oxnard. Eleven unique, turn-of-the-century (the 20th century!) homes, a church, a storehouse, a pump house, and an elevated water tank were all moved from their original sites to a single city block in downtown Oxnard, and restored to their original condition in a beautifully landscaped park-like setting. Serving the community as a major event and tourist attraction, the structures of Heritage Square now house professional offices, a chapel/meeting hall, shops, a barber shop, a restaurant, a drinking establishment, and a visitor center.
