Geocache Description:

This should be an easy cache with level terrain and light undergrowth. It is accessible from a well defined trail. You're looking for a regular sized container which contains a notebook and pencil, small swaps and is starting with a trackable or two.

The original cache here was destroyed by a controlled burn. It earned it's name because it was placed in the area where an RC plane had crashed and met it's demise. The neighboring park is still used by model plane enthusiasts today.

After a crash there are usually some useful clues left behind in the wreckage zone, which can help investigators determine what happened and hopefully prevent it happening again.

There are a couple weekends a year when the neighboring sports park holds special events. At these times, you may need to pay an entrance fee to enter from the park side. These events, such as Country Music Festival, Seafood and Wine Festival and Thunder Beach are always worth the entry fee anyway, and are always a lot of fun if you happen to be in town at the right time.
