Geocache Description:

Cult Kids
TV
This is a non-continuous series of caches all based around Cult Kids TV programmes. They will come from any period of television and some will be well known, others less so. The intention is to provide a range of caching locations, containers and level of challenge. The series will be added to over time…so watch this space!

Ivor the Engine was a stop-motion animation, set in the "top left hand corner of Wales" which told of a steam engine with a mind of his own, along with his friends including Jones the Steam, Dai Station, Evans the Song and Idris the Dragon. It was the first Oliver Postgate series to be produced by his Smallfilms production company who had their business based in a cowshed. Originally made in black and white in 1958, it was remade in colour in 1975 with 20 of the original 26 ten minute episodes being turned into 40 lots of five minutes.

The cache itself is placed just up the road from a bridge over the 13.5 mile long Old Dalby Test Track, responsible among other things for testing London Underground trains and the high speed tilting train. The track was originally part of the line from Nottingham to Kettering which was closed in 1968.

This one is a simple cache and dash. You are looking for a reasonably sized container that will take swaps, geocoins and TBs. Please make sure that the lid is returned correctly.
