This route is approx. 6 (SIX) miles and should take 3 hours or so. It is our first Multi so please email me if you have any comments (preferably clean ones!) A wander around the countryside near Pucklechurch and Siston. Looking for nanos and string. This route uses footpaths and roads so be prepared for possible mud and cars and other country obstacles! I won’t bore you with the history of Pucklechurch and Siston but there is plenty to be read if you so wish. Check out other local caches, they may be close!! The trail consists of nanos all the way because I like them. If you don’t like nanos you may wish to miss this one out. The final cache is a traditional container. YOU WILL NEED TO COLLECT NUMBERS AND LETTERS AT EACH STAGE. Parking is at N51 28.994 W002 26.280 Nearby is a stone to celebrate a moment in time. Take the 1st number of the date it was laid. This is (K). The first stage is at…N51 (K)8.918 W00(K) (K)6.479 As Peter Kay once (or twice) said ‘A bit of blue for the Dads. You need the letter from the back of the log and the 1st number from the nearby speed sign. This letter now equals that number and will be used throughout the whole series and this continues though out. Next stage is at N51 (K)8.7(A)1 W00(K) (K)5.975 This cache is ‘stylish’. Over to you, hope you under stand. Letter is on the back of the log and the number is the number of lines of text on the sign about ‘dogs’. On to…. N51 (K)(H).37(K) W00(K) (K)6.099 DOWN the path past the obvious place for a cache (we wanted to use this but were prevented by signs of muggle usage.) I won’t take a fence if you don’t like this one. Number of strands on the fence is the number you need and the letter is on the log. And then on we go… N51 (T)(H).039 W00(K) (T)6.(K)(A)1 Down the road to a footpath this cache won’t rock you with it’s originality. Over your head count the wires (your number) and the letter is on the log). Now…..N51 (T)(H).10(A) W00(T) (T)6.6(T)6 The cache is in natural foliage at waist height watch out for the bull up a tree! Count the plain wire fences, letter is on the log. We now go past the ‘oversized poodles’ into Siston village and on to N5(B) (T)(H).(A)(S)(T) W00(T) (T)7.(B)79 Look up, look down, look all around. Then look at approx. 7ft up (in old money). Stuck in the middle with yew, but its not a Yew is it? How many troughs can you see? This is your number, letter on the log. Up the hill following the paths to…. N5(B) (T)(H).(A)(S)9 W00(T) (T)7.6(S)7 Opposite the lone tree by some ironwork is another nano container. Look at the people ruining a good walk and count the bunkers to the right of the bridges. This is your number and the letter was on the log. To the left of the lone tree follow the path to…. N5(B) (T)(H).(H)95 W00(T) (T)7.(A)(S)(M) Déjà Vue?? Behind you, on a clear day there is a view all the way to Dundry. How many ‘B’s on the cycle route sign? Letter on the log as usual. On the way to the final cache. The path may become overgrown in the summer, arm yourself with a stick and NO SHORTS (or don't come crying to me!!) (My legs take punishment in the summer as I hate trousers when its hot, so yours will as well on this path , possibly :) ) The final cache is named after a series of Vampire books that my daughter seems fixated by!! THIS IS NOT A NANO (Hurray I hear you cry!) N 51 (T)(H).(J+J+J)(J+J+J)(J-S) W 00(T) (T)(J+A).(B)(A)(J+A) Continue this path to your car. We hope you enjoyed our little walk. Thanks to GRALORN for the name!! Why not try the Fleur De Lis for some refreshment. If you are really stuck..............http://keitheames.weebly.com/ BUT THAT IS CHEATING!
