Geocache Description:

Incy wincy spider climbing up the spout. Down came the rain, but you will need to bring a BOTTLE OF WATER to wash the spider out. **Please note it may not be possible to extract this cache during freezing weather** You will also need to bring a PEN to sign the log.

This is the old railway embankment for the Great Central Railway. When you find the location the cap requires a slight twist in order to remove it. You will need to replace the cap when you have finished. When you have washed the spider (cache) out you will need to go to the bottom and find the spider (yellow cache). SEE THE PICTURE so you know what you are looking for. When you have retrieved the cache squeeze it gently to pop it open. Sign the log make sure the bag is properly sealed, then you will need to drop the cache back in the top of the pipe and REPLACE THE CAP. The cache location should be easy to find and hopefully will be fun to do.

The Great Central Railway allowed journeys from London to Nottingham, Leicester, Sheffield and Manchester. This construction scheme was devised by chairman Sir Edward Watkin. He had envisioned his railway one day running under a Channel Tunnel to France, linking Britain with the continent. The line however was closed because of Doctor Beechings cutbacks, 31 years before the channel tunnel was constructed. It is now the proprosed route for the Nottingham tram extension to Clifton.

Please note the cache site is not accessible via Bader Road. See the waypoints for trail heads of paths that will lead you to it.

Logging Etiquette: Geocache hiders sometimes go through a great deal of planning to place their caches. As a result, they'd like to hear your feedback on whether you liked or disliked any aspect of the hide, or if you feel that some cache maintenance is required. Single word, acronym, or emoticon logs may be easier when you have a lot of caches to log, but it doesn't tell the hider or other finders anything about your adventure (or lack thereof) in finding the cache. Please keep this in mind when entering your log.
