While the surf is rarely up in this area, a surf club has gone up in close proximity to the cache, which is not at all up. The building is actually home to a number of local sporting clubs in addition to the Coogee Beach Surf Life Saving Club.
You can get to the cache via the network of shared bicycle/pedestrian paths, you can access it via the beach or you can park your car within a metre or two of the cache. There are barbecues and a picnic ground nearby.
The cache is a nano ... it used to be in plain view from a few metres away, but ground cover around host object now interferes with the view.
BYO writing stick and a log removal tool (hair-clips do the trick for me).
*** Satellite images of this area available on the internet are out of date ... the cache is very close to a sealed path.
*** FTF PRIZE: there is an unreleased TB tag under some stones in an obvious place approx 3cm from the cache.
